This month, over 60 participants from 15 countries and territories and 30 organizations working to protect wildlife in Asia gathered in Luang Prabang, Laos, for the Wildlife Animal Network Asia Conference 2024, hosted by Free the Bears. The theme of this conference was Successful Partnerships Leading To Positive Outcomes For Wildlife. This annual conference is a great opportunity to connect and network with fellow wildlife protectors in the region.

During the five-day conference, we heard great presentations on partnerships, rewilding, and capacity building. We had the opportunity to meet new people and reconnect with regional colleagues.
The conference theme was also a perfect occasion for us to present our Lao Youth on a Mission for Nature Conservation program, which we co-implemented this year for the first time with our partner EconoxLaos.
