On the 9th December 2021, Camille Coudrat founder and director of Association Anoulak, was invited to give a presentation at the French International School of Vientiane in Laos (an institution which first opened its doors in 1986 and accredited by the Agency for French Education Abroad).
The presentation, which aimed to provide an overview of Association Anoulak’s work in Laos, was given to all the professors and educative staff of the school. This was the first step in the initiation of a collaboration with the educators of the school to develop activities for their students that will raise their awareness of the biodiversity in Laos and in particular in the Annamite Mountains. Professors from all fields taught at the school (history, geography, physics, mathematics, biology, sports etc.) attended the event and showed great interest to develop activities adapted to their field and class levels based on the work and educative resources from Association Anoulak (including our published books and posters: Wonders of the Annamites — Spirit of the Saola, Pangolin: Life of a Scaly Anteater — Protect your Health – Protect Wildlife — our Video Channel — and our photo Galleries: Wildlife — Ground camera-trap photos — Canopy camera-trap photos — Local communities — Handicraft and Natural Resources Management Program — Anti-poaching patrols — Forest and landscapes — Nature Artwork).
One of Association Anoulak’s missions is to raise awareness of the general public on the importance of biodiversity conservation. Engaging the youth in hand-on activities will certainly contribute to this endeavor.
